First Winter Storm of the New Year! (1/17/2008)

A low pressure system tracked out of the rockies and out into the plains on Wednesday January 16th. As this low pressure system tracked northeast, it spread a swath of snow across much of Kansas.

Image 1 shows the amount of snow that fell across the area. Image 2 is a visible satellite image from Thursday morning January 17th showing snow cover across the area.
