CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS...
AFTER MAKING LANDFALL ON SUNDAY AND WEAKENING CONSIDERABLY...THE 
STORM THAT WAS ONCE HURRICANE DENNIS MOVED INTO THE OHIO RIVER
VALLEY. BANDS OF PRECIPITATION ROTATING AROUND THIS STORM SYSTEM
DEPOSITED SOME MUCH NEEDED RAIN ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL
ILLINOIS...AS WELL AS EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS OVER
THE PAST 72 HOURS. MANY LOCATIONS PICKED UP 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN.
