Illinois Weather Trivia for March 7th

Central Illinois was in the midst of the latest in a series of severe winter storms which moved across the area during the winter of 1977-78. In this storm, which ended on March 8th, the heaviest band of snow extended in a wide area along and north of I-70. Up to 14 inches of snow was reported in Montgomery, eastern Macoupin, and far southern Christian Counties.
