Gordon Jackson 35 Year Award

Gordon Jackson receives 35 year Length of Service Award

A 35 year Length of Service Award was presented to Gordon Jackson, cooperative weather observer for Farmland, at the Annual COOP Extension meeting in Randolph County. Gordon is an outstanding weather observer who has not only recorded and maintained the records for the station at Davis Purdue Experimental Farm, but also has cataloged climatological data for Randolph county Indiana dating back to 1901. Gordon received the John Campanius Holm Award in 1995 for his outstanding efforts as a cooperative observer. The station at Farmland is one of the most complete in Indiana with several soil temperature probes, evaporation equipment and precipitation gages as well as air temperature equipment. Gordon is also actively involved in 4-H in Randolph County and serves as an excellent community representative. Congratulations Gordon and thank you for the outstanding data collection for 35 years.
