A potent cold front moved through central Indiana during the early morning hours of January 30. A line of strong to severe thunderstorms ahead of the cold front brought damaging wind and heavy rain to the area. A list of damage reports received follows at the bottom of this page.

Behind the front, another cold front with much colder air moved in.  A record high temperature of 65 degrees was set at the Indianapolis International Airport just after 1:00 AM on the 30th, and by the end of the day the temperature had fallen to 27 degrees. By the end of the 31st, temperatures had fallen to 10 degrees.
