Shelley Edwards 20 Year Service Award

 

The National Weather Service (NWS) recently honored Shelley Edwards of Spencer, cooperative weather and river observer, with a 20 year Length of Service Award.

Shelley’s station in Spencer is a critical river site during periods of flooding. He records and reports daily precipitation and river readings. Shelley began taking observations for the NWS in July of 1983. Shelley’s father Thomas was the previous observer for 13 years.
