01. 1884  OAKVILLE AND LURAY...A TORNADO WITH A PATH 1/4 MILE
      WIDE AND 10 MILES LONG TOOK THE LIVES OF EIGHT...AND
      INJURED AT LEAST 50 OTHERS.  IN OAKVILLE...ALL BUT FIVE
      OF THE 45 BUILDINGS IN TOWN WERE LEVELLED.  THE CLOUD
      WAS DESCRIBED AS FUNNEL SHAPED AND OF A GREENISH COLOR.

02. 2006  INDIANAPOLIS...STRAIGHT LINE WINDS DAMAGE SEVERAL 
      BUILDINGS...INCLUDING A DOWNTOWN SKYSCRAPER.

03. 1974  AS PART OF THE LARGEST TORNADO OUTBREAK IN U.S.
      HISTORY...21 TORNADOES STRUCK INDIANA HITTING 39 COUNTIES.
      EIGHT OF THE TORNADOES WERE KILLERS...LEAVING 47 DEAD AND
      OVER 800 INJURED.  ON THE WHOLE...148 TORNADOES TOUCHED
      DOWN IN 13 STATES.

04. 1977  A SMALL TORNADO DESTROYS A GARAGE AND REMOVES A 
      ROOF OFF A HOUSE WEST OF ANDERSON.

05. 1985  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAUSE DAMAGE IN SEVERAL 
      COUNTIES ACROSS SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL INDIANA.
      WIDESPREAD DAMAGE OCCURRED IN GREENSBURG.

06. 1988  INTENSE LOW PRESSURE PRODUCES HIGH WINDS STATEWIDE...
      WITH PEAK GUSTS FROM 50 TO 90 MPH.  PEAK WIND GUST IN
      INDIANAPOLIS 74 MPH...OR HURRICANE FORCE.

07. 1998  NEWPORT...BASEBALL SIE HAIL FALLS.

08. 1980  FARMLAND...A TORNADO DESTROYS A BARN AND UPROOTS
      TREES.

09. 1897  INDIANAPOLIS...GREATEST 24 HOUR SNOWFALL RECORDED IN
      THE CITY FOR APRIL FELL...5.0 INCHES.

10. 2001  BEDFORD...TOW INCH DIAMETER HAIL FALLS.

11. 1965  THE PALM SUNDAY TORNADO OUTBREAK...DEADLIEST IN STATE
      IN HISTORY.  10 TORNADOES STRUCK 18 COUNTIES IN THE
      NORTH AND CENTRAL.  SEVEN OF THE TORNADOES WERE KILLERS...
      AND BETWEEN 445 PM TO A LITTLE AFTER 630 PM...LEFT 137 DEAD
      AND 1724 INJURED. 

12. 2002  BLOOMINGTON...GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL FALLS.

13. 1994  THE VERMILION RIVER IN VERMILLION COUNTY RECORDS A
      RECORD FLOOD...OVER 14 FEET ABOVE FLOOD STAGE.

14. 2006  INDIANAPOLIS...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE 85 MPH
      WINDS.

15. 1998  CLOVERDALE...GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL FALLS.

16. 1860  TERRE HAUTE...A TORNADO PASSED OVER THE SOUTHERN PART OF
      THE CITY...AND KILLED A MAN CAUGHT IN THE DESTRUCTION OF
      THE RAILROAD ENGINE HOUSE.  18 OTHERS WERE INJURED.

17. 1992  RAINS OF 1 TO 4 INCHES HELP SET THE STAGE FOR FLOODING
      ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA. NUMEROUS ROADS WERE CLOSED IN 
      MORGAN AND OWEN COUNTIES AFTER MORE RAIN FALLS SOON AFTER.

18. 1821  A LATE SPRING SNOW IS OBSERVED AS FAR SOUTH AS
      CRAWFORDSVILLE.

19. 1996  PLAINFIELD...3 INCH DIAMETER HAIL FALLS.

20. 2004  TORNADOES TOUCH DOWN AT JAMESTOWN...ELWOOD...AND KOKOMO.

21. 1893  INDIANAPOLIS...MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION FELL FOR THE
      13TH CONSECUTIVE DAY...SETTING A CITY RECORD FOR MOST
      CONSECUTIVE DAYS WITH MEASURABLE PRECIPITATION.

22. 1963 INDIANAPOLIS...TORNADOES CAUSE 1 MILLION DOLLARS DAMAGE.

23. 1978 NEAR LAFAYETTE...A TORNADO CAUSES EXTENSIVE DAMAGE TO
      22 MOBILE HOMES.

24. 1925  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 90 DEGREES.

25. 1961  A TORNADO TRAVELS IN A NON-CONTINUOUS PATH 60 MILES FROM
      SHELBYVILLE INTO OHIO. THE TORNADO IS 1/2 MILE WIDE AT TIMES.

26. 1994  AROUND MIDNIGHT ON THE 26-27TH...A TORNADO RACING
      60 MPH FROM NORTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE INTO CARROLL COUNTY
      PRODUCED A 14 MILE LONG TRACK 100 YARDS WIDE...KILLING
      THREE PEOPLE AND INJURING 70 OTHERS.

27. 1971  MANY AREAS OF CENTRAL INDIANA REPORTED HAIL...WITH 2
      INCH DIAMETER HAIL REPORTED AT TERRE HAUTE AND CLOVERDALE.

28. 2002  AVON...GOLD BALL SIZE HAIL FALLS.

29. 1977  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE
      IS SET AT 31 DEGREES.

30. 1984  STRONG WINDS BLOW ACROSS MUCH OF CENTRAL INDIANA...
      WITH GUSTS OF 60 TO 70 MPH REPORTED IN SOME LOCATIONS.
