02. 1886  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE DATE
      IS SET AT -3 DEGREES.

03. 1873  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD PRECIPITATION AMOUNT FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 3.46 INCHES.

04. 1998  SEVERAL SITES SET RECORD TEMPERATURES FOR THIS DATE...
      INCLUDING INDIANAPOLIS WITH A HIGH OF 70 DEGREES.

05. 1996  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD SNOWFALL FOR THE DATE
      IS SET AT 4.8 INCHES.

06. 1998  SEVERAL SITES SET RECORD TEMPERATURES FOR THIS DATE...
      INCLUDING INDIANAPOLIS AT 73 DEGREES. LATE IN THE
      EVENING...A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS JUST AHEAD OF A
      STRONG COLD FRONT MOVED ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA DOWNING
      TREES AND POWER LINES ACROSS SEVERAL COUNTIES.

07. 1979  STRONG WINDS COLLAPSE PART OF A WAREHOUSE UNDER
      CONSTRUCTION NEAR INDIANAPOLIS.

08. 1995  SNOWFALL OF 2 TO 4 INCHES CAUSE NUMEROUS CAR 
      ACCIDENTS. ARCTIC AIR CAME AFTER THE SNOW AND BROUGHT
      SUBZERO TEMPERATURES.

09. 1876  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT -15 DEGREES.

10. 1971  NUMEROUS SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS MOVE ACROSS CENTRAL 
      INDIANA...DAMAGING HOMES AND BUSINESSES. THREE AIRPLANES
      WERE BLOWN OVER AT THE MONROE COUNTY AIRPORT.

11. 1967  TORNADOES IN DAVIESS AND KNOX COUNTIES DESTROY A 
      HOUSE TRAILER AND DAMAGE SEVERAL FARM BUILDINGS.

12. 1977  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD SNOW DEPTH FOR THE DATE
      IS SET AT 8 INCHES.

13. 2000  AN ICE STORM STRIKES SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA. UP TO 
      A HALF INCH OF ICE FALLS ON TOP OF SNOW...AND THE ICE
      DOWNS POWER LINES.

14. 1899 AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD SNOWFALL FOR THE DATE
      IS SET AT 6.9 INCHES.

15. 1987  HIGH WINDS GUSTED UP TO 70 MPH IN THE NORTH AND
      CENTRAL PARTS OF THE STATE.

16. 1996  SNOWFALLS OF 2 TO 6 INCHES WERE COMMON ACROSS
      CENTRAL INDIANA.

17. 1981  EIGHT INCHES OF SNOW FALL IN MONROE AND BROWN 
      COUNTIES....WITH 4-7 INCHES ELSEWHERE ACROSS CENTRAL
      INDIANA.

18. 1995  FREEZING RAIN FALLS ACROSS PARTS OF THE AREA...CAUSING
      OVER 65000 HOMES TO BE WITHOUT POWER AT ONE POINT DUE TO
      DOWNED POWER LINES.

19. 1973  HEAVY SNOW FELL OVER THE ENTIRE STATE ON THE 19-20TH...
      WITH OVER ONE FOOT OVER MUCH OF NORTHERN INDIANA.
      17 INCHES FELL AT LAFAYETTE.

20. 1995  HEAVY SNOWS OF 6 TO 10 INCHES ON THE 19-20TH FELL
      ACROSS CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST INDIANA...ASSURING A WHITE
      CHRISTMAS.

21. 1988  STRONG WINDS OF 50 TO 70 MPH AT INDIANAPOLIS TOPPLE
      A 20 FOOT HIGH MASONRY WALL UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

22. 1989  INDIANAPOLIS RECORDS ITS COLDEST TEMPERATURE EVER
      RECORDED IN DECEMBER...-23 DEGREES.

23. 2004  SEYMOUR...TWO BACK-TO-BACK SNOWS STORMS BRING A 
      TWO DAY TOTAL OF 29 INCHES OF SNOW. MUCH OF SOUTHEAST
      INDIANA SAW OVER A FOOT OF SNOW.

24. 1983  BITTER COLD TEMPERATURES OCCUR ACROSS CENTRAL INDIANA
      DURING THE LAST HALF OF THE MONTH...SETTING SEVERAL 
      TEMPERATURE RECORDS...INCLUDING A RECORD LOW FOR DECEMBER
      24 AT INDIANAPOLIS OF -17 DEGREES.

25. 1983  INDIANAPOLIS...THE COLDEST TEMEPRATURE ON RECORD FOR
      CHRISTMAS DAY IS RECORDED AT -15 DEGREES.

26. 1875  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE
      DATE IS SET AT 67 DEGREES.

27. 1988  HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATES 4 TO 8 INCHES ACROSS CENTRAL 
      INDIANA ON THE 27TH INTO THE 28TH.

28. 1990  ON THE 28TH TO THE 31ST...HEAVY SNOW COMBINED WITH
      SNOWMELT PRODUCED SIGNIFICANT FLOODING OVER MUCH OF THE
      STATE.

29. 1981  FOUR TO SEVEN INCHES OF SNOW FALL ACROSS HOWARD AND
      CARROLL COUNTIES.

30. 1973  ON THE 30TH TO 31ST...FROM 7 TO 12 INCHES OF SNOW FELL
      OVER CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST INDIANA.  .

31. 1876  AT INDIANAPOLIS...1876 BECOMES THE WETTEST YEAR ON
      RECORD...WITH A TOTAL OF 57.65 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION.
