       THE CITY...7.20 INCHES FELL.

02.  2003 THE HIGHEST FLOOD SINCE MARCH 1913 QUICKLY STRUCK THE 
      MARTINSVILLE AREA FOLLOWING THE HEAVY RAINS OF THE 1ST.

03. 1975  INDIANAPOLIS...THE FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORTED 350 CALLS
      OF LIGHTNING STRIKES.

04. 1895  INDIANAPOLIS...THE SECOND GREATEST 24 MEASURED RAINFALL
      IN THE CITY...6.80 INCHES FELL.

05. 1954  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE
      DATE IS SET AT 100 DEGREES.

06. 1983  THUNDERSTORM WINDS OF 60 TO 70 MPH STRIKE ROCKVILLE...
      AVON...AND INDIANAPOLIS.

07. 1988  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE
      DATE IS SET AT 42 DEGREES.

08. 1989  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS BLOW OFF ROOFS OF SEVERAL
      HOMES IN ALBANY IN DELAWARE COUNTY.

09. 1985  SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS KNOCK DOWN TREES AND POWERLINES
      IN HAMILTON AND MARION COUNTIES. A CAR IS DEMOLISHED WHEN A 
      TREE FALLS ON IT.

10. 1890  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD PRECIPITATION AMOUNT FOR THE
      DATE IS SET AT 2.60 INCHES.

11. 1897  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 95 DEGREES.

12. 1988  INDIANAPOLIS TO ANDERSON...A TORNADO SKIPS ALONG A 35
      MILE LONG PATH CAUSING DAMAGE TO BUSINESSES.

13. 1975  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE
      DATE IS SET AT 39 DEGREES.

14. 2008  INDIANAPOLIS...THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE IKE BRING 
      WINDS OF OVER 60 MPH.

18. 1972  DOVER...BASEBALL SIZE HAIL FALLS AND CAUSES EXTENSIVE
      WINDOW BREAKAGE AT AREA SCHOOLS.

19. 1983  INDIANAPOLIS...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE REACHED 92 DEGREES.
      THIS MARKED THE 58TH TIME THE TEMPERATURE REACHED 90 DEGREES
      IN 1983...WHICH IS A CITY RECORD FOR MOST TIMES IN A YEAR.

20. 2002  A TORNADO MOVED 112 MILES ACROSS INDIANA BECOMING THE 
      SECOND LONGEST TORNADO TRACK IN INDIANA HISTORY. THE TORNADO
      BEGAN IN ELLETTSVILLE AT 1259 PM EST AND ENDED NEAR HARTFORD
      CITY AT 320 PM EST. PROPERTY DAMAGE WAS 156 MILLION DOLLARS AND
      130 PEOPLE WERE INJURED.

21. 1875  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 35 DEGREES.

22. 1908  INDIANAPOLIS...NO MEASURABLE RAIN FELL FOR THE 39TH
      CONSECUTIVE DAY...SETTING A CITY RECORD FOR THE LONGEST
      DRY SPELL.

23. 2001  NORA...GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL FALLS.

24. 2005  MARTINSVILLE...HEAVY RAIN CAUSES MUDSLIDES...DAMAGING
      TWO VEHICLES.

25. 1891  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 92 DEGREES.

26. 1976  A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN SEYMOUR...KILLING 1 PERSON.

27. 1991  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 35 DEGREES.

28. 1999  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS BRING AN F1 TORNADO TO TIPPECANOE
       COUNTY. WIND GUSTS OVER 100 MPH WERE ALSO REPORTED IN THE
       COUNTY...ALONG WITH GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL.

29. 1953  AT INDIANAPOLIS...THE RECORD HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE 
      DATE IS SET AT 97 DEGREES.

30. 1899  INDIANAPOLIS...THE EARLIEST FALL FREEZE RECORD IS SET
      WITH A LOW OF 30 DEGREES.  THE RECORD IS TIED IN 1993 WHEN
      THE TEMPERATURE DROPS TO 32.
