1930 -- Today was the only time Fort Wayne ever hit 90° in April.

1965 -- The 1965 Palm Sunday Tornado Outbreak . Eleven tornadoes swept across twenty Indiana counties killing 137 people. 271 people died from Iowa to Ohio. Dunlap, Indiana was devastated as a pair of massive tornadoes smashed through a mobile home park and nearby subdivision. At 6:50pm the Weather Bureau (now the National Weather Service) office at South Bend issued a statement saying, "Reports of tornadoes and funnel clouds have become so numerous that it is impossible to keep track of them". Other tornadoes charged across southern Michigan and the western half of Ohio...as well as northern Illinois, southern Wisconsin, and eastern Iowa.

1978 -- A tornado touched down for a moment on Coliseum Boulevard in Fort Wayne at 3:20pm.
