1979 -- A tornado near Buchanan, Michigan destroyed houses and mobile homes.

1996 -- Hail 1.25" in diameter covered the ground four inches deep at Union, Michigan. Hail did a million dollars damage at Bronson, Michigan. Hail to 2" in diameter was reported from Reading to near Hudson, Michigan. Widespread hail damage occurred with windows on west sides of buildings broken and vinyl and aluminum siding left with holes and cracks. Highway M-34 was covered with hail between Pittsford and Hudson. Numerous recreational vehicles parked at a dealership were badly damaged.

2001 -- 60 mph thunderstorm winds blew power lines down across Saint Joseph Indiana, Elkhart, and Marshall counties.
