1998 -- From the 4th to the 6th a large winter storm dropped up to 14" of snow on southwest Indiana. Snow fell at a rate of 2" per hour during rush hour today.

2009 -- A band of heavy lake-effect snow set up across western La Porte County and Porter County in northwest Indiana. Snowfall totals of 1 to 2 feet were reported in these areas.
