On Jan 15 in weather history...

1982 -- Snow, sleet, and high winds brought visibilities to near zero in northern Indiana and closed Interstate 65. Wind chills fell to -60°.

1992 -- Seven inches of snow fell on northwest and north central Indiana with 40mph winds and wind chills to -50°.

1997 -- Freezing rain, sleet, and snow spread across the area on the 15th, with 3 to 5 inches of snow falling by the 16th. Strong winds then rushed in with wind chills of 30 below zero and white-out conditions in blowing snow. Heavy lake effect snow showers occurred as well.

2000 -- A strong thunderstorm microburst downed trees, branches, and blew windows out of a house four miles north of Dowagiac (Cass County Michigan). A woman at the residence was outside at the time of the storm and suffered minor injuries from blown debris.
