On Jan 17 in weather history...

1994 -- Freezing rain created half an inch of ice in central and southern Indiana on the 16th. It then changed over to snow on the 17th and dropped over a foot of snow in some places. Harrison, Clark, and Floyd counties reported 16 inches of snow.
