1950 -- Albion reported a high of 66° and Goshen reached 68°.

1978 -- The Great Blizzard of '78 peaked. At South Bend 35" of snow fell by the 29th. Winds gusted to 35 mph on the 26th with temperatures in the 20s and over 15" of snow falling that day. In Fort Wayne 10" of snow fell from the 25th into the 26th. On the 26th temperatures fell to 4° while winds howled up to 55 mph bringing wind chills to -60°. On the 26th Goshen received 14" of snow.

1986 -- Lake effect snow brought 13" of snow to South Bend and 18" to LaPorte.

1988 -- LaPorte County received 10" of lake effect snow.

2003 -- Seven inches of lake effect snow at Simonton Lake (Elkhart County), 6" at Berrien Springs and Buchanan (both Berrien County).

2004 -- A low pressure system moved across Indiana yesterday and into the morning of the 26th bring snow and strong winds into Southern Michigan and Northern Indiana. Areas in N.East IN, experienced 5" of snow with 3-5 foot snow drifts.
