1963 -- Warsaw, Indiana plummeted to -20°.

1967 -- One of Chicago's greatest snowstorms occurred as 23 inches of snow crippled the city in 29 hours. Five inches fell at South Bend.

1978 -- The Great Blizzard of '78 continued. At South Bend 35 inches of snow fell by the 29th. On the 27th Goshen reported a snow depth of 28 inches.

1997 -- Freezing rain caused traffic problems and power outages in central and northern Indiana.

2004 -- 9 to 12 inches of snow fell across extreme southern Michigan.
