1967 -- One of Chicago's greatest snowstorms occurred as 23" of snow crippled the city in 29 hours. 5" fell at South Bend.

1978 -- The Great Blizzard of '78 continued. At South Bend 35" of snow fell by the 29th. On the 27th Goshen reported a snow depth of 28".

1997 -- Freezing rain caused traffic problems and power outages in central and northern Indiana.

2004 -- 9" to 12" of snow fell across extreme southern Michigan.
