1963 -- Plymouth fell to -24°.

1976 -- The Fort Wayne National Weather Service office received its WSR 74-C radar, the last radar before the Doppler.

1977 -- Up to five inches of snow fell on northern Indiana, which was whipped into blizzard-like conditions by winds gusting to 55mph. Wind chills were as low as -70°

1978 -- The Great Blizzard of '78 continued. At South Bend 35 inches of snow fell by the 29th.
