1995 -- Into January 7, up to 7" of snow fell on Putnam County, Ohio, along with some sleet and freezing rain.

2005 -- A severe ice storm that began late Jan 5th, spread about .5 to 3" of ice causing major power outages and trees snapping under the weight of the ice. 100 power poles snapped in Grant County making the total without power around 120,000. There were a 4 deaths due to this storm.

2014 -- A bitterly cold arctic airmass plunges south across the eastern US in the wake of a fierce snowstorm that wallops the western Ohio Valley and southern Great Lakes. Temperatures crash into the teens below zero with bone chilling wind chills as cold as -45° below zero.
