1995 -- Into January 7, up to seven inches of snow fell on Putnam County, Ohio, along with some sleet and freezing rain.

2005 -- A severe ice storm that began late Jan 5th, spread about .5 to 3 inches of ice causing major power outages and trees snapping under the weight of the ice. 100 power poles snapped in Grant County making the total without power around 120,000. There were a 4 deaths due to this storm
