1912 -- Bloomington, Indiana, fell to -19°.

1966 -- Tropical Cyclone Denise dropped 45" of rain on La Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean in twelve hours, and 71.80" of rain in 48 hours from the 7th into the 8th.

1979 -- Up to 10" of snow fell on northern Indiana with four foot high drifts.

2008 -- A band of heavy rain and thunderstorms dropped 4 to 7" of rain late January 7th into the morning hours of January 8th across Fulton, Cass, and White counties in Indiana. This excessive rainfall led to widespread flash flooding and river flooding.
