On Jan 8 in weather history...

1982 -- A foot and a half of snow fell on LaPorte and Saint Joseph Indiana counties with blizzard conditions and wind chills to -65°. Fort Wayne received five and a half inches.

1996 -- Five to ten inches of snow fell from Bloomington to Greensburg, Indiana. Winds blew the snow into ten foot high drifts.

2005 -- A narow band of heavy snow acrossed portions of Kosciusko, Noble and Fulton Counties in northern IN. The heaviest snow fell between 2am and 6am with snowfall rates as high as 3 inches per hour. Total snowfall ranged from 6 to 8 inches in some of these counties.
