1936 -- Angola peaked at 106°. Fort Wayne had their hottest night on record, with a low of 80°. The high was 104°.

1992 -- An F2 tornado moved north of Dowagiac, Michigan damaging 35 residences and eight buildings. Also, three men were struck by lightning in Lorain County, Ohio while fishing at the edge of a pond. They were knocked unconscious and woke up with bad headaches.
