1909 -- 10" of snow fell during President Taft's inauguration. The U. S. Weather Bureau (to become the National Weather Service) had predicted fair weather and suffered severe criticism after the storm.

1961 -- A tornado briefly touched down south of New Buffalo, Michigan.

1976 -- A tornado dropped to earth in Berrien County and skipped northeast for 43 miles. It did damage south of Stevensville, near Sodus, and northeast of Paw Paw. Two people had serious puncture wounds from objects driven into their bodies.

1993 -- 6" of snow fell from Valparaiso to Angola.

2008 -- 5" to 10" of snow fell along and near a Logansport to Columbia City to Hillsdale line.
