1951 -- After a tornado passed through Scottsbluff, Nebraska, a bean was found imbedded 1" deep into an egg without having cracked the shell.

1991 -- Fort Wayne's wettest May day, with 4.35" of rain.

1998 -- An F4 tornado devastates the town of Spencer South Dakota killing 6, injuring one third of the towns 315 person population and destroyed most of the town's 190 building including the water tower.

1999 -- Hail 1" in diameter struck Fort Wayne.

2008 -- Four small tornadoes touched down across northern Indiana and northwest Ohio on the 30th and 31st, including EF1 tornadoes in Putnam County, Ohio and Wabash County, Indiana.
