On Nov 10 in weather history...

1915 -- A tornado damaged much of Great Bend, Kansas, killing eleven people and doing a million dollars damage. Canceled checks from Great Bend were found in Nebraska.

1975 -- An F1 tornado reached earth in Huntington County at 4am. The Edmund Fitzgerald sank in a terrific storm on Lake Superior.

1996 -- Up to 40" of lake effect snow fell on northern lower Michigan from the 9th through the 14th.

1998 -- Widespread tree and power line damage from severe thunderstorms. Old Rock Creek Township High School in Rock Creek (Huntington County) lost its roof. 61mph winds reported at Goshen. Lakeland High School in Lagrange lost a wall in its auditorium.

2002 -- Four tornadoes spun from Blackford County to Henry County, including an F4 twister that devastated the west side of Van Wert. Four people were killed, and 26 were injured. Elsewhere...thunderstorm winds blew numerous trees down one mile north of Decatur. 81 mph downburst winds derailed a train two miles southeast of Hamler (Henry County). Thunderstorm winds tore down trees and power lines in Cairo (Allen County Ohio) and Lima.
