1989 -- 10" of snow fell on Saint Joseph County, Indiana, with heavy snow reported over much of the northwest and north central parts of the state.

1997 -- 18" of lake effect snow in the New Buffalo and Sawyer areas of Berrien County. The heavy, wet snow downed trees and power lines. Other amounts: 13" at Baroda, 12" at Saint Joseph and Coloma, 11" at Buchanan, and 10" at Stevensville.

2001 -- Dense fog was a factor in an accident at the intersection of IN 39 and US 30 near Hanna (LaPorte County). A semi pulled out onto US 30 and was struck by a vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle was killed instantly. Visibility was near zero.
