2002 -- F0/F1 tornadoes struck Blackford County, Van Wert County, and Allen County OH. Buildings at a fertilizer plant (Ag Best) in Hartford City were flattened. Hartford City and the city of Van Wert were both struck by tornadoes this day, and they would both be struck by tornadoes again 51 days later on November 10. Also...barns were leveled and trees blown down by thunderstorm winds in Jay County. A barn was also destroyed six miles northeast of Decatur. 64 mph winds recorded at Spencerville (Allen County Ohio).
