Saint Michael's Ridge

March 28, 1920

One of this area's worst tornadoes on record touched down near Ossian, Indiana on March 28, 1920 and proceeded northeast almost all the way to Toledo (it may actually have been a tornado family rather than a single tornado).  The tornado crossed Defiance County, and produced the destruction seen below.  These photos were taken at Saint Michael's Ridge north of Defiance, near the intersection of Behrens and Moser roads.
