Aviation Weather Discussion for Eastern Kentucky: (FOR THE 12Z TAFS THROUGH 12Z THURSDAY MORNING) ISSUED AT 805 AM EDT WED MAY 23 2012 AVIATION CONDITIONS WILL BE POOR FOR ANOTHER HOUR OR SO AT MOST SITES DUE TO DENSE FOG AND LOW CIGS. THESE WILL BE IMPROVING BY 14Z OR 15Z. THE NEARBY UPPER LOW AND INSTABILITY WILL PROBABLY RESULT IN SCATTERED CONVECTION BY MID AFTERNOON AGAIN WEDNESDAY. IN FACT...WITH LESS IN THE WAY OF LOW CLOUDS AROUND BY NOON THE COVERAGE COULD BE MORE EXTENSIVE THAN WHAT OCCURRED ON TUESDAY...BUT FAVORING LOCATIONS IN THE EASTERN PARTS OF THE FORECAST AREA. ACCORDINGLY... HAVE INCLUDED VCTS IN THE JKL AND LOZ TAFS...BUT KEPT THE SME ONE CLEAN. SOME FOG WILL BE POSSIBLE AGAIN LATE TONIGHT. OUTSIDE OF THE VICINITY OF ANY THUNDERSTORMS...WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND VARIABLE. |
