MARCH WAS DOMINATED BY RECORD WARMTH AND DRY CONDITIONS...KICK  
STARTING SPRING. THERE WAS ALSO A DAY MARCH 18TH OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCING SEVERAL TORNADOES WHICH EFFECTED AREAS
JUST WEST OF THE CITY OF NORTH PLATTE.

FOR NORTH PLATTE...THE AVERAGE DAILY MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR MARCH
WAS 49.8 DEGREES...WHICH WAS A WHOPPING 11.8 DEGREES ABOVE THE
NORMAL OF 38.0 DEGREES AND SHY OF THE ALL TIME WARMEST MARCH ON
RECORD 1910...WHICH AVERAGED 51.0 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH
TEMPERATURE WAS A MAY LIKE 69.2 DEGREES AND WAS A STAGGERING 16.7
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 52.5 DEGREES. THIS WAS ALSO THE SECOND
WARMEST BEHIND 1910...WHICH AVERAGES 69.8 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE
DAILY LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 30.4 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 6.9 DEGREES
