FOR NORTH PLATTE...THE AVERAGE DAILY MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR OCTOBER
WAS 46.6 DEGREES WHICH WAS 2.5 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 49.1
DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 63.6
DEGREES WHICH WAS 0.9 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 64.5 DEGREES. THE
AVERAGE DAILY LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 29.6 DEGREES WHICH
WAS 4.0 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 33.6 DEGREES AND WAS THIRD ALL
TIME COOLEST ON RECORD.

TWO RECORD DAILY LOW MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES WERE SET DURING THE MONTH
OF OCTOBER IN NORTH PLATTE AND ARE SUMMARIZED BELOW...

THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 61.7 DEGREES
WHICH WAS 1.3 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 63.0 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE
DAILY LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 32.3 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 1.6 DEGREES BELOW
THE NORMAL OF 33.9 DEGREES. NO DAILY RECORD TEMPERATURES WERE SET IN
OCTOBER FOR VALENTINE.

PRECIPITATION AT LEE BIRD FIELD TOTALED 0.28 INCHES FOR OCTOBER
WHICH WAS 1.27 INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 1.55 INCHES. SNOWFALL FOR
OCTOBER TOTALED 2.2 INCHES AND WAS 0.1 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF
2.1 INCHES. NO DAILY PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE SET FOR THE MONTH AT
NORTH PLATTE...HOWEVER...ONE DAILY SNOWFALL RECORD WAS SET DURING
THE MONTH. ON THE SIXTH...0.9 INCHES OF SNOW FELL AT LEE BIRD FIELD
WHICH WAS THE FIRST EVER OCCURRENCE OF SNOWFALL ON THAT DATE IN NORTH
PLATTE.

VALENTINE PRECIPITATION IN OCTOBER TOTALED 0.46 INCHES AND WAS 0.79
INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 1.25 INCHES. SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH AT
VALENTINE WAS 3.0 INCHES AND WAS 1.5 INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 1.5
INCHES. ON OCTOBER 4TH...A TRACE OF SNOW FELL WHICH WAS THE FIRST
EVER OCCURRENCE OF SNOW ON THAT DATE IN VALENTINE.
