FOR NORTH PLATTE...THE AVERAGE DAILY MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR JANUARY
WAS 26.2 DEGREES AND WAS 1.2 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 25.0
DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE FOR JANUARY IN NORTH
PLATTE WAS 42.4 DEGREES...AND WAS 3.5 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL 38.9
DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY LOW TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 10.0
DEGREES...WHICH WAS 1.1 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 11.1 DEGREES.
ONE RECORD HIGH WAS SET DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY AT NORTH
PLATTE. ON THE 19TH OF THE MONTH...THE HIGH TEMPERATURE HIT 66
DEGREES...BREAKING THE RECORD OF 64 DEGREES SET PREVIOUSLY IN 1906
AND 1901.

FOR VALENTINE...THE AVERAGE DAILY MEAN TEMPERATURE FOR JANUARY WAS
25.8 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 2.2 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 23.6
DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 39.0 DEGREES...AND
WAS 2.5 DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 36.5 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE DAILY
LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 12.5 DEGREES...WHICH WAS 1.8 DEGREES ABOVE THE
NORMAL OF 10.7 DEGREES. ONE DAILY RECORD TEMPERATURE WAS RECORDED
DURING THE MONTH OF JANUARY IN VALENTINE. ON THE 25TH OF JANUARY THE
LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 37 DEGREES. THIS BROKE THE RECORD HIGH MINIMUM
TEMPERATURE FOR THAT DATE. THE PREVIOUS RECORD WAS 32 DEGREES SET IN
1947.

JANUARY PRECIPITATION AT LEE BIRD FIELD IN NORTH PLATTE TOTALED
0.32 INCHES...AND WAS 0.02 INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 0.34 INCHES.

0.26 INCHES. JANUARY 2014 TIED FOR THE 8TH DRIEST ON RECORD FOR
VALENTINE. NO DAILY PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE SET DURING THE MONTH
OF JANUARY FOR VALENTINE. SNOWFALL FOR THE MONTH TOTALED 0.5 INCHES
AND WAS 3.3 INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 3.8 INCHES. NO DAILY SNOWFALL
