Severe thunderstorms brought high winds to the Ainsworth area on the evening of July 8th, 2013.  As the core of the thunderstorm began to collapse just west of Ainsworth - estimated wind speeds of 80 to 110 miles an hour resulted, especially over areas just west and south of Ainsworth.  This is based on NWS preliminary local storm and damage reports.

These winds caused center pivots to overturn, along with creating a lot of tree damage, and some localized damage to buildings.

Above are some radar animations, a damage survey point map, and local storm report maps for further information concerning this severe weather event.
