Volunteer Cooperative Weather Observer
Needed in or near Paxton, Nebraska

The National Weather Service office in North Platte, is seeking a volunteer, to assume the mantle as Cooperative Weather Observer for the community of Paxton, in Keith County, Nebraska. 

This involves taking daily observations of precipitation, snowfall and snow depth.  These observations then become part of the climatic data record for Paxton, as well as for the state of Nebraska, and the Nation. Over 11,000 other volunteer COOP Observers across the United States, help provide the basis of the climatological record and database.
