Evolution of a Severe Weather Outbreak
May 24th, 2010

Severe thunderstorms erupted across the Dakotas and Nebraska on Monday, May 24th - as a powerful low pressure system moved across the High Plains.  Tornadoes were reported at several locations in the Nebraska Panhandle, with funnel cloud reports near Mullen and Stapleton.  Large hail, widespread wind damage, and areas of locally heavy rain also occurred over much of western and north central Nebraska.
