Hard Freeze South Of I-80 Tonight

Surface high pressure will drop into Kansas and southern Nebraska overnight.  As skies clear temperatures will be plummeting into the 20s - with teens found in some areas by dawn.

The main impacts will be a sudden end to the growing season - damage to tender vegetation and plants and irrigation systems.  Hoses should be disconnected from any spigots to prevent damage.

A hard freeze warning will be in effect from 800 PM this evening through 1000 AM Sunday morning for areas along and south of Interstate 80.
