AS OF THE END OF SEPTEMBER...THE GROWING SEASON TYPICALLY COMES TO
AN END ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. BY THE FIRST OF
OCTOBER...MOST LOCATIONS ACROSS WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA
HAVE A BETTER THAN 50 PERCENT CHANCE OF SEEING THEIR FIRST FROST OF
THE FALL SEASON. BY THE END OF THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER THIS
INCREASES TO NEAR 90 PERCENT. WITH RESPECT TO THE DATE OF THE FIRST
FREEZE...BY THE END OF THE FIRST WEEK OF OCTOBER...THERE IS A 50
PERCENT CHANCE OF TEMPERATURES FALLING TO 32 DEGREES OR BELOW.  BY
THE END OF THE SECOND WEEK OF OCTOBER...THERE IS A NEAR 90 PERCENT
CHANCE OF FREEZING TEMPERATURES ACROSS ALL OF WESTERN AND NORTH
CENTRAL NEBRASKA. SINCE WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA WILL BE
AT THE MEDIAN DATE FOR FIRST FREEZE AND WELL PAST THE MEDIAN DATE
FOR FIRST FROST THIS FRIDAY...FROST ADVISORIES AND FREEZE WARNINGS
WILL NO LONGER BE ISSUED UNTIL NEXT SPRING.
