Late Season Snowfall Amounts Across Northwestern Nebraska

Low pressure aloft was spinning across northwest Colorado - and helped to produce low level, moist easterly upslope winds.  As temperatures cooled to around freezing, snowfall occurred over parts of northwest and north central Nebraska overnight, into mid morning Wednesday, May 12th. Generally, snowfall amounts ranged from 2 to 4 inches - west of a line from Merriman to Antioch.  Further to the east, temperatures were warm enough overnight that precipitation fell in the form of rain and drizzle. Below is a snowfall map, and the local storm reports of the snowfall amounts.
