Severe Weather Recap - April 12th, 2012
The combination of an unstable moist air mass, surface low pressure, a lifting warm front and dry line - brought a bout of severe weather to parts of western Nebraska on Thursday, April 12th. Besides the beneficial rainfall that was received - a plethora of hail was produced by the stronger thunderstorms.Tennis ball sized hail was reported 3 miles east of Grant at 650 PM CDT by fire department personnel. Hail to the size of golfballs was reported 4 miles south of Lemoyne near Lake McConaughey.
