A SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM ALOFT MOVED FROM NORTH CENTRAL  
KANSAS NEAR MIDNIGHT...INTO EASTERN KANSAS BY SUNRISE FRIDAY.  
THIS FINALLY ALLOWED A DRIER AIR MASS TO BEGIN MOVING INTO WESTERN  
NEBRASKA.  
 
RAINFALL TOTALS OF AN INCH OR MORE WERE RECORDED DURING THE PAST 24  
HOUR PERIOD ENDING AT 700 AM CDT FRIDAY MAY 13TH - AND WILL BE  
DETAILED BELOW. THE HEAVIEST RAINFALL AMOUNTS WERE CLUSTERED OVER  
PARTS OF LINCOLN...FRONTIER AND CUSTER COUNTIES...ALONG WITH GARFIELD  
COUNTY.  
 
SOME OF THESE REPORTS INCLUDED 1.25 INCHES OF RAINFALL AT THE NORTH  
PLATTE AIRPORT...AS WELL AS A LOCATION 2.4 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF  
NORTH PLATTE. MEDICINE CREEK DAM...LOCATED 14 MILES SOUTHEAST OF  
STOCKVILLE IN FRONTIER COUNTY...ALSO RECEIVED 1.25 INCHES OF  
RAINFALL. A REPORT OF 1.24 INCHES OF RAINFALL CAME FROM 6 MILES WEST  
NORTHWEST OF ERICSON...BY A COOPERATIVE WEATHER OBSERVER. THE NORTH  
PLATTE EXPERIMENTAL FARM...3 MILES SOUTH OF NORTH PLATTE...REPORTED  
1.17 INCHES OF RAINFALL THE PAST 24 HOURS...WITH THE MASON CITY  
COOP OBSERVER RECEIVING AN INCH OF RAIN OVERNIGHT.
