January 2, 2006 Storms

Powerful thunderstorms rolled across central Kentucky and south central Indiana on the afternoon of Monday, January 2, 2006. Six tornadoes were recorded, along with many reports of wind damage, large hail, and heavy rain.

Elizabethtown was the hardest hit community, with F2 damage from a tornado a few miles north of downtown along US 31W.
