Breckinridge and Meade Counties
A single weak but fairly long-tracked tornado cut across Breckinridge County into Meade County around midnight April 19th - 20th, 2011:
Event: EF-0 Tornado
Begin time: 11:54pm EDT
End time: 12:04am EDT
Begin point: 7.3 miles southwest of Payneville
End point: 4.3 miles west of Brandenburg
Wind speed: Up to 80 mph
Path length: 11 miles
Path width: 50 yards
The worst damage with this tornado occurred at a house in an elevated location along Sirocco Road in Meade County. At that location a carport that was attached to the house blew across the field behind it. Trees were snapped or uprooted, a barn door was blown in, and shingles were blown off of the roof of another nearby house.
