Four tornadoes struck Washington County, Indiana, April 19-20, 2011:

Tornado #1:

Begin point: 2.9 miles north northeast of Livonia
End point: 3.7 miles northeast of Livonia
Wind speed: 100 mph
Path length: 1.4 miles
Path width: 200 yards

Fatalities: 0
The tornado touched down at the intersection of Mount Tabor Road and John Batt Road, where a grain bin was destroyed and several trees were blown over. Just southwest of the Mount Tabor Road/West Washington Road intersection the twister threw a 10,000 pound grain silo leg, two silos were destroyed, a 20ft x 30ft outbuilding was destroyed, and a single story house suffered severe damage. At the end of the damage path a house had its roof partially torn off and gravel from the driveway was lifted and pelted into the side of the house.

Begin point: 3.1 miles northeast of Livonia
End point: 3.8 miles northeast of Livonia
Wind speed: 75 mph
Path length: 0.7 mile
Path width: 75 yards

Fatalities: 0
This tornado traveled from the intersection of West Washington Road and Batt Road to just north of Mount Tabor Road. Along its path a silo and two barns were damaged. Several trees were knocked down or snapped.

Begin point: 2.5 miles north northeast of Salem
End point: 3.1 miles north northeast of Salem
Wind speed: 80 mph
Path length: 0.6 mile
Path width: 50 yards
Injuries: 0
Fatalities: 0
This tornado touched down along Jim Day Road about a quarter mile south of Lewellen Road where a 30ft x 40ft outbuilding garage was destroyed and its roof thrown about 75 yards to the north and east. The tornado ended just northeast of Lewellen Road where a house suffered roof damage, a 30ft x 50ft shed was destroyed, and a small grain bin was twisted and thrown 100 feet.

End time: 12:27am EDT
Begin point: 4 miles south southwest of Little York in Washington County
End point: 5 miles north northeast of Austin
Wind speed: Up to 80 mph
Path length: 13 miles
Path width: up to 200 yards
Injuries: 0
Fatalities: 0
Several trees were snapped or uprooted and a roof was damaged near North Rutherford Hollow Road. Mainly tree damage was observed along the rest of the path.
