A powerful cold front brought widespread tornadoes to southern Indiana and central Kentucky on the 18th of October, 2007.  Eight tornadoes spun across the countryside, making this outbreak almost twice as prolific as the second-largest October tornado outbreak in this area (October 1, 1977).  It also included the strongest October tornado we've ever seen around here (the EF3 in Clark County, Indiana, which tied with the F3 tornadoes of October 16, 1925 and October 24, 1967).
