Bufkit Data

BUFKIT is a forecast profile visualization and analysis tool kit developed by the staff at the
National Weather Service (NWS) office in Buffalo and the Warning Decision Training Branch
(WDTB) in Norman, OK. As of January 2002 it is in use in over 150 NWS, Department of
Defense, University, Environment Canada, and South Africa Weather Service locations.

00 and 12 UTC Eta Model - Current: 00 UTC on 02/10/2010

 - 00Z and 12Z, to 60 hours, hourly resolution.
     Usually available around three hours after initialization time.

To retrieve the data, right click on the location above, then choose "Save Target As..." and
save the data in your BUFKIT data directory (see your local documentation).  Note, these files
each range in size from 230 KB 260 KB.

06 and 18 UTC "Off-Hour" Eta Model - Current: 06 UTC on 02/10/2010

 - 06Z and 18Z, to 48 hours, hourly resolution.
    Usually available about three hours after initialization time.

To retrieve the data, right click on the location above, then choose "Save Target As..." and
save the data in your BUFKIT data directory (see your local documentation).  Note, these files
each range in size from 170 KB 195 KB.

RUC Model - Current: 06 UTC on 02/10/2010

 - 00Z, 03Z, 06Z, 09Z, 12Z, 15Z, 18Z, and 21Z, to 12 hours, hourly resolution.
     Usually available about one and a half to two hours after initialization time.

To retrieve the data, right click on the location above, then choose "Save Target As..." and
save the data in your BUFKIT data directory (see your local documentation).  Note, these files
each range in size from 50 KB to 60 KB.

GFS Model - Current: 00 UTC on 02/10/2010

 - 00Z, 06Z, 12Z, and 18Z, to 180 hours, 3-hourly resolution.
     Usually available about five hours after initialization time.

To retrieve the data, right click on the location above, then choose "Save Target As..." and
save the data in your BUFKIT data directory (see your local documentation).Note, these files
range in size from 250 KB to 280 KB.
