WSR-88D Cell Trends Image One of the software algorithms within the WSR-88D calculates various parameters related to temporal trends of identified thunderstorms. A four-panel display of information is provided to help determine temporal changes that are crucial to storm evaluation and the warning decision process.  In this image, the upper left panel shows trends in the base and top of the storm.  The upper right panel displays (in percent) trends in the probability of hail and severe hail.  At bottom left, trends in VIL are displayed, while the altitude of the maximum reflectivity within the storm is shown in the bottom right panel.
