This is a picture of an AWIPS workstation at NWS
Louisville.
Each workstation consists of 2 graphical displays, controlled
by a keyboard, 1 alphanumeric (text) screen, controlled by a
second keyboard, and a processor, located under the table. Five full workstations exist at NWS Louisville to
fully support all office functions. A huge amount of graphical
and text data are available, all integrated into
one system to optimize the data analysis, forecast, and warning
process. |
