A brief tornado developed about 5 miles southwest of Kankakee or 3 miles south of Limestone in southern Kankakee county at around 10:02 PM CDT. This brief touchdown provided damage to a couple of farms just north of the intersection of Rd 5000W and 3000S as well as several trees in that location. A machine shed on the property was destroyed, a fence blown over, and several trees uprooted. The tornado was rated EF-1 with winds estimated at around 100 mph and a path width of 30 yards.
