Light Snow Event |

| Overview: A weakening storm system moved southeast from the Great Plains into the Mid-Mississippi Valley during the evening of January 22nd, eventually overspreading an area of snow into central and east central Missouri by the morning of the 23rd. This area of snow then gradually pushed northward through the day on the 23rd, eventually settling in over northeast Missouri and central Illinois, where up to 2 to 4 inches of snow fell, with an isolated occurrence of near 5 inches. Lesser amounts of snow fell outside of this area, with most locations only picking up an inch or less of new snow. |
