Severe Thunderstorm Microburst
Wentzville, Missouri
August 10th, 2010

A severe thunderstorm produced a microburst that caused significant but localized wind damage near Wentzville, Missouri during the early evening hours of Tuesday, August 10th. Damage included trees, power lines, light poles, shingles, siding, and signs. The most dramatic pictures after the storm were taken on Interstate 70, eastbound near Highway A, where a tractor trailer was blown on top of a car. One person was injured and taken to the hospital.
