Illinois Drill Postponed fromTuesday, March 5, 2013

 

A waiver has been granted to the state of Illinois by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to allow the National Weather Service to use the tornado warning code (TOR) on NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) . The drill will take place on March 5. There is no backup date 

NOAA Weather Radios that are set to receiver the TOR code will activate for the drill.

A waiver has been granted to the state of Missouri by the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) to allow the National Weather Service to use the tornado warning code (TOR) on NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) . The drill will be held on March 5th, 2013, at 1:30 pm. In case of actual severe weather on March 5th, the drill will be postponed until Thursday, March 7th, also at 1:30 pm. 

NOAA Weather Radios that are set to receiver the TOR code will activate for the drill.
